This manual refractometer measures the content and concentration of sugars and soy juice respectively. It measures the content of sugars in the intervals 0% to 32% and the concentration of soy juice in the interval of 0% to 25%.
It uses automatic temperature compensation in the range of 10°C to 30°C to correct temperature variations when in use.
Calibrating the refractometer is very quick and easy and is done by placing 2-3 drops of distilled water on the top of the prism block.
You then need to point the refractometer in the direction of natural ambient light and look into the eyepiece.
You will see a circular box with divisions through the center. If necessary, adjust with a mini screwdriver to the zero line of the scale.
