This is a general purpose handheld refractometer that is used for measuring liquids with sugar content from 0% to 80% Brix. It is used in the production of sugar, juices, jam, honey and others.
It uses natural ambient light and therefore does not need batteries or other power sources.
It has automatic temperature compensation (ATC) in the range of 10°C to 30°C that corrects temperature deviations while the refractometer is in use.
It has an optical glass prism and a durable aluminum body with a rubber handle for a comfortable grip.
It is calibrated manually using a mini screwdriver.
