Overview

A simple squeeze trigger sprayer holding one litre. This is the bottle that lives on the shelf in a duka, a kitchen or a nursery: detergent for the counters, water for the potted plants at the door, an air freshener, or a weak foliar feed for seedlings in trays.

There is no pumping and no pressure vessel. You pull the trigger and it sprays, which makes it the right tool for short bursts and close work and the wrong one for spraying a field. The nozzle adjusts from a fine mist through to a straight stream, so the same bottle mists a tray of seedlings and then sends a jet into the corner of a sink. The handle is shaped to sit in the palm, which matters more than it sounds when you are working through a rack of pots and squeezing the trigger a few hundred times.

Questions and answers

Does it hold pressure like a pump sprayer?
No. It sprays only while you squeeze the trigger. For continuous spraying without squeezing, use a pump up pressure sprayer.
What can I put in it?
Water, detergents, air fresheners and light garden mixes. Keep strong solvents and undiluted chemicals out of it, since they attack the seals.
