Overview
A tank compressor of the size most small workshops end up buying. The 24 litre receiver stores air so the motor is not running all the time, which is what lets you use a blow gun, a tyre inflator or a light air tool without the pressure falling away every few seconds.
On a 24 litre tank the practical work is inflating, dusting, stapling and short bursts with a spray gun or an impact wrench. It is a portable size, so it moves between a workshop, a compound and a site rather than sitting bolted down in one place. The motor is rated 2HP. A tank compressor also needs somewhere to stand and a supply that can start it, so decide where it will live before it arrives. The receiver has to be drained of water, the pressure switch cuts the motor in and out on its own, and the safety valve is there to be checked now and then rather than ignored.

Do I have to drain it?
Yes. Open the drain valve under the tank at the end of the day so water does not stand inside and rust it.
