Nylon Ram Marking Harness With Crayon, Adjustable Straps

The Nylon Ram Marking Harness with Crayon Block is a livestock breeding tool designed to help farmers identify ewes that have been mounted by a ram during the breeding season. It is fitted around the ram's chest and secured using adjustable nylon straps. A compatible marking crayon is held in the harness, allowing the ram to leave a visible color mark on the back or rump of a ewe during mating activity.

The harness provides a practical method of detecting ewe heat and monitoring mating activity in sheep flocks. The marks left by the crayon help farmers identify ewes that have been mounted, making it easier to monitor breeding progress, estimate mating dates and plan lambing management.

Its adjustable straps allow the fit to be adapted to the size of the ram, helping to keep the harness securely positioned during movement and mating. The crayon block can be replaced when worn out, allowing the harness to be reused throughout the breeding season.

The Ram Marking Harness is suitable for sheep farmers, livestock breeders and commercial sheep farms that require a simple, non-electronic system for tracking breeding activity. For best results, the harness should be fitted correctly, checked regularly and used with a suitable livestock marking crayon. A mark indicates mounting activity but does not, by itself, confirm successful conception.
