Portable Footbath For Disinfecting Suitable For Cattles, Sheep, Goats, Pigs

A portable livestock disinfectant footbath is a farm hygiene tool designed to clean and disinfect the hooves of animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. It helps prevent and control hoof diseases like foot rot, digital dermatitis, and bacterial infections that spread through contaminated soil, manure, and wet housing conditions. Regular use improves animal health, mobility, and overall farm biosecurity.

It is typically a rectangular plastic tray or trough placed along an animal walkway or entry point to a barn or milking area. The tray is filled with water mixed with disinfectant chemicals such as copper sulfate, zinc sulfate, or commercial hoof disinfectants. As animals walk through the bath, their hooves are immersed in the solution, which cleans dirt and kills harmful bacteria.

Portable designs allow farmers to move the footbath easily between pens, entrances, or grazing areas, making it practical for routine herd management and disease prevention.

Footbaths are widely used to reduce lameness and infection pressure in livestock herds by regularly disinfecting hooves as animals pass through the tray.
