Overview
A posho mill grinds dry maize into flour, or unga. This one runs on single phase power, which is the supply found in most homes, shops and small premises. It is supplied with a cyclone, a guard and a steel base frame, so the parts you need to set it up are in one package.
The mill sifts both Grade 1 and Grade 2 flour. Grade 1 is the finer, sifted flour that cooks smooth and is the type sold in packets. Grade 2 is coarser whole meal flour with the bran. The coarser flour is also used to make animal feed.
The cyclone is the tall blue cone on the left of the machine. It separates the flour from the air that carries it out of the mill, so the flour collects at the bottom and less dust escapes into the room. Maize is fed from the tray at the side. The guard covers the moving parts, and the base frame holds the mill and gives a platform on which to mount the motor.
The floor milling machine can use either a 3HP motor or a 7.5HP diesel engine.

Does it run on single phase power?
Yes. It is a single phase mill, so it works on the normal supply in most homes and small shops. You do not need three phase wiring.
What is the difference between Grade 1 and Grade 2 flour?
