Overview
The larger of the two Steco storage batteries: 100 amp hours against 70. It is the battery side of a solar or backup installation, the part that holds the energy the panels made during the day so that the lights, the fridge and the router keep running through the night and through an outage.
The extra capacity over the 70Ah unit buys you either more hours on the same load, or the ability to carry a heavier load for the same time. Which of those you need comes from adding up the appliances that must stay on and how long each one runs. Electronics, lighting and fans draw little. A fridge cycling overnight is a real load and needs planning for. Anything with a heating element, a kettle, an iron, a water heater or a shower, will pull a bank down fast regardless of its size, and is usually left off the backup circuit deliberately.

Is it worth going from 70Ah to 100Ah?
It gives either more hours on the same load or a heavier load for the same time. Work out which appliances must stay on overnight and for how long, then choose.
