Overview
The biggest pack on the platform. Eight thousand milliamp hours is for the tools and the jobs where changing a battery every twenty minutes is not acceptable: a day of blowing down a compound, a run of cutting with a cordless grinder, hedge work on a large plot.
What is surprising is the weight. At 0.99kg it is barely heavier than the 6 000mAh pack while carrying a third more capacity. The pack protects itself against deep overloading, over-discharging, overheating and overcurrent, and the intelligent software and enhanced communication protocol let it and the charger agree on a safe charge rate rather than pushing current in blindly. The LED gauge tells you what is left before you walk out to the job.

Questions and answers
How long does it take to charge?
About 200 minutes on the XPP-2700 and 190 minutes on the XPP-9000, so it is usually charged overnight.
Is it much heavier than the 6 000mAh pack?
No. It weighs 0.99kg against 0.97kg, so you get a third more capacity for almost no extra weight.
