Overview
The standard charger for the 18V platform. If your tool came as a bare unit, or your original charger has been left on a site somewhere, this is the one that goes with the 1 500mAh and 3 000mAh packs.
It takes 100 to 240V at 50 or 60Hz, so it works anywhere on mains power and tolerates the swings you get on a weak supply or a generator. The LED tells you the charging status at a glance, so you know whether a pack on the shelf is ready or still going. An XB-1500 takes about 45 minutes. At 0.35kg it travels in a tool bag without being noticed. It is worth having a second charger if your tools work in two places, one at the workshop and one at the house, so a flat pack is never far from a socket. A charger is small and cheap next to the batteries it looks after.
