Overview

Two meters in one body. The prongs give you a reading inside a piece of timber, and the built-in sensor scans through a surface to 20mm without leaving two holes in it. That matters on a finished floor, a door or a plastered wall you do not want to mark.

Use the scan mode to sweep a wall and find where the damp is, then put the prongs in at the worst spot for a reading in the material itself. The meter is set up for wood, plaster, concrete, mortar and other building materials, shows the moisture content as a percentage on the LCD, and holds the reading so you can take it out and read it afterwards. Ambient temperature is displayed too.

What is the difference between the two modes?
The prongs are pushed into the material and read between them. The scan sensor reads to 20mm through the surface without marking it.
Will it work on a plastered wall?
Yes. It is intended for wood, plaster, concrete, mortar and other building materials.
