Overview
A 150mm auger bit for the PA-200, the middle size between planting holes and full fence post holes. It suits standard fence posts, poles for shade netting and holes for planting established seedlings.
An earth auger earns its money on the number of holes, not the first one. Digging by hand with a crowbar and a jembe, a line of holes takes a day and the holes come out different sizes and different depths. With the machine and the right bit, each hole is the same diameter all the way down and the post or the plant sits at the depth you intended. Changing the bit changes the hole size, so one auger covers fencing, planting and post work without buying another machine. Ground conditions decide how fast the work goes as much as the machine does, and a bit that is kept sharp cuts murram and clay far better than one that has been run blunt through a season of fencing.
