Overview

Three hundred watts is the size that covers the things people actually miss when the power goes: the lights, the phones, the router, a laptop and a small television. It is light enough to move from room to room or to put in a car, and it makes no noise and no fumes, so it sits in a bedroom or a shop without anyone minding.

For anyone who has not owned one before, this is the sensible place to start. It is a battery with an inverter and sockets, charged when power is available and used afterwards. It is not a generator substitute. A 300W unit will not run a kettle, an iron, a water heater or a welder, and it should not be bought with those in mind. What it does well is keep a household connected and lit through an outage, keep a small shop trading, or run a stall or a camp for a day. Fast charging means it refills in a short window when the mains happens to come back.

Questions and answers

Will it run a kettle or an iron?
No. Those draw far more than 300W. This unit is for lights, phones, a router, a laptop and a small television.
How long will it last on a charge?
That depends on the stored capacity and your load. Tell us what you want to run and we will confirm the figures before you order.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
