Overview

The spout is the part of a jerry can that goes missing first. It gets left at a pump, dropped in the long grass beside a generator, or borrowed and never returned, and after that every refuel becomes a two-hand balancing act with fuel running down the outside of the tank. This is the replacement part on its own, so a good can does not have to be thrown out because a plastic spout walked off.

A spout is worth having for reasons beyond neatness. Spilt petrol on a hot engine or a hot exhaust is a real fire risk, and spilt diesel makes a machine slippery to handle and a floor dangerous to stand on. Fuel poured through a spout also reaches the tank without picking up dust and grit off the rim of the can, which is what quietly blocks a carburettor jet or a fuel filter. Keep the spout with the can rather than in a drawer, and it will still be there the next time you need it.

It is the spout for the 20 litre jerry cans in this range. Bring your can or send a photograph of the cap and we will check the thread first.
Can I use it for both petrol and diesel?
Yes, but keep one spout with each can. Moving a spout between a petrol can and a diesel can carries fuel across with it.
