Overview
The large size cover, for a frame mounted generator or a bigger portable set that does not fit under the small one. It is for the machine standing beside the workshop, behind the shop or at the back of the compound, waiting for the next power cut.
Covering a generator is one of the cheapest things you can do for it, and one of the most often skipped.
What damages a standby generator is the waiting, not the running. Dust blows into the cooling fins and the air filter, rain gets into the control panel and the socket outlets, and months of direct sun make the wiring insulation and the plastic parts brittle. A cover stops all of that for the price of a few litres of petrol. It also keeps the set looking like something worth guarding, which matters if it lives in a yard that people walk through.

Questions and answers
How do I choose between the small and the large?
Measure the length, width and height of your generator including the frame, then send us the figures and we will confirm which size fits.
Does it stop rust?
It keeps rain and dew off the tank, the panel and the fasteners, which is where rust usually starts. Lift it occasionally so trapped damp can dry out.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
Not sure if this is the right one?
Call or email us and tell us what you keep and how many. We will say whether this one fits your farm or point you to a better size. You are also welcome to come and see it in our Nairobi CBD shop.
