Overview
A posho mill grinds dry maize into flour. This one is sold with a 7.5HP motor, a cyclone, a guard and a steel base frame. The motor sits on the frame beside the mill and drives it by belt.
Maize is poured into the open tray on the left side of the mill. It is ground inside the housing, and the flour is carried up the pipe to the cyclone. The cyclone is the tall cone on the right. It separates the flour from the air, so the flour collects at the bottom and less dust escapes into the room.
A 7.5HP motor is a common size for a posho mill in a village shop, a small milling business or a busy farm. It suits a farmer who mills for the family, for neighbors or for animal feed. The wire mesh guard covers the belt and pulley, so keep it in place whenever the mill is running.
