18V Cordless 3-in-1 Multi Sander, 7000 to 12000rpm, 1.0kg

Three sanding pads on one body covers most of what a finishing job needs. A pointed pad gets into the corners of a window frame or a door panel, a flat pad works open surfaces, and the third takes the edges and narrow rails between them. Changing pad takes seconds, so you stop leaving the awkward parts until last and then doing them by hand.

The base measures 140 by 140 by 80mm, the orbit is 1.6mm and the speed runs from 7 000 to 12 000 a minute. A small orbit at a high speed is the combination that leaves a fine, even finish rather than a cut surface, so this is a machine for preparing timber and filler for paint or varnish, not for removing material. The velcro pad means paper goes on and off in a moment and a part used sheet can be kept. Cordless is what makes it useful on a fitted door, a staircase or a window already in the opening, where there is no socket and a lead would be in the way. At 1.0kg it is light enough to hold overhead.
