18V Cordless Mouse Sander, 140 x 140 x 80mm Pad, 12000rpm

A mouse sander is shaped to a point so it reaches what a square or round pad cannot. The inside corner of a window frame, the angle where a stair tread meets a riser, louvre slats, the corners of a door panel, the edge of a skirting against a floor, the inside of a cupboard. These are the places that get left rough and then show through the paint, and sanding them by hand takes longer than the whole rest of the job.

The pad measures 140 by 140 by 80mm and the orbit runs at 12 000 a minute, which is fast enough to leave a fine finish on timber and on filler. The base is velcro backed, so paper goes on and comes off in a second and a partly worn sheet can be put back later rather than thrown away. At 0.9kg it weighs almost nothing in the hand, which is what you want when you are holding it out at an angle or above your head in a corner. Being cordless means no lead in a confined space, and six accessories are supplied with it.
