Overview
This is a coffee maker that runs off a power tool battery. It is for the places where there is no socket and no kettle: a site office, a workshop, the back of a pickup on a long job, a stall, a camp, a farm store, or a stand at an outdoor event. If you already carry 18V batteries for your tools, you already carry the power for it.
It brews a 240 millilitre cup in five minutes, which is one proper mug rather than a pot. The filter is permanent, so there are no paper filters to buy, run out of or forget. Ground coffee goes straight into the basket. It also takes single-serve packs if you prefer them. There is a carry handle, so it travels as one item rather than being another loose thing in the toolbox. At 1.4kg it sits stable on a bench or a tailgate rather than tipping when you pour.

Questions and answers
How many cups can I make on one battery?
Heating water uses far more energy than running a tool, so a pack empties quickly. It takes an XB-3000 or larger for a useful number of cups.
Do I need paper filters?
No. It has a permanent drip filter, so ground coffee goes straight in. It also takes single-serve packs.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
Not sure if this is the right one?
Call or email us and tell us what you keep and how many. We will say whether this one fits your farm or point you to a better size. You are also welcome to come and see it in our Nairobi CBD shop.
