This is a reel mower with a motor on it. You get the scissor cut that a reel gives, which leaves no brown tips on the grass, but you are not providing the effort yourself. For a lawn that somebody actually cares about, a reel cut looks better the day after mowing than any rotary cut does.

Five precision-ground blades pass a fixed bottom blade and shear each stem cleanly. A rotary mower spins a bar fast enough to tear the grass, and torn tips brown within a day, which is the dull look a lawn has after an ordinary mowing. Cutting heights of 14, 23, 32 and 38mm are lower than a rotary machine offers, which is what you want on a fine lawn. The useful detail is that it can still be pushed by hand when the battery goes flat, so a dead pack means slower work rather than no work. The 45 litre bag holds a good load and the handle folds for transport.
