Overview
The heavier of the two 230mm machines, for a workshop where the grinder is running most of the day. Cutting gate sections, trimming rebar, dressing welds on a fabricated frame, opening a chase in blockwork with a diamond disc.
Two thousand three hundred watts gives you more in reserve when the disc is buried in a thick section, so the speed holds instead of bogging. The auto-stop carbon brushes cut the motor when the brushes wear down, which stops the armature being damaged and turns a cheap brush change into a repair you can plan. The rear handle sets in three positions and the auxiliary handle is anti-vibration, which is felt after an hour rather than after a minute.

What is the auto-stop carbon brush for?
It stops the motor when the brushes are worn out, so the armature is not damaged and you only replace the brushes.
Can it take a diamond disc?
Yes, as long as the disc is 230mm with a 22mm bore and rated for at least 6 500min-1.
