Overview
The everyday grinder. A 115mm machine is what most steel work actually gets done with: cutting bar and tube, trimming bolts, cleaning up welds, taking rust off a gate before paint, wire brushing a chassis.
Nine hundred watts is more motor than the entry level machines carry, which shows when you are cutting 4mm plate and the disc does not slow. The guard adjusts without tools to keep the sparks pointed away from you, and the spindle lock holds the shaft while you change discs. With the right disc or wheel it cuts, grinds, sands and wire buffs, so one tool covers the whole job from cutting a section to preparing it for paint. At 2.0kg it is light enough to use one handed for a quick cut, though two hands is always safer.
