2500W Garden Shredder, 45mm Branches, 40L Bag, Twin Blade

A shredder turns the heap of prunings behind the house into something useful. Hedge trimmings, branches off a fruit tree, old shrubs and dry stems go in the hopper and come out as chip that mulches a bed, fills a compost pit or goes down a path. It is the difference between burning a pile of green waste and putting it back into the soil.

The 2500 Watt motor drives twin hardened steel blades at 4200 revolutions a minute, and the top hopper takes branches up to 45mm. The blades are reversible and can be re sharpened, so a set lasts well past the point where an ordinary blade would be thrown away. An overload switch cuts the motor if you feed it faster than it can cut, which protects the windings on the day someone pushes a whole bush in at once. It runs into a 40 litre collection bag and rides on large wheels, which is what makes 48 kilos movable by one person.
