26.5cc 4-Stroke Petrol Blower, 200km/h, 9 Cubic Metres a Minute

A petrol blower goes where the lead does not reach. A large compound, a school ground, a church yard, a hotel driveway, a farmyard or a plot with no power connected. You carry the fuel with you and clear the whole area in one pass without thinking about sockets or cable length.

Being a four stroke, it runs on plain petrol with oil in the sump instead of fuel mixed with two stroke oil. That means no measuring, no mixing, less smoke and less smell, which matters when you are working around people at a gate or a reception area in the morning. The engine is 26.5cc turning to 11 000 revolutions a minute, pushing 9 cubic metres a minute at 55.5 metres a second, which the supplier states as air speeds up to 200 kilometres an hour. That moves leaves, light tree debris and grass clippings without difficulty. Electronic ignition means it starts on the pull rather than on the tenth pull, and the blower tube comes apart in two pieces so it stores in a cramped shed or a garage. At 4.2kg it is carried in one hand and swung along a path.
