30cc Petrol Blower Mulching Vacuum, 60m/s, 8:1 Mulching Ratio

This machine does three jobs on a large plot. It blows leaves and cuttings into a pile, it vacuums them up, and it shreds them on the way into the bag. Shredding is what makes the difference to anyone clearing a big compound, a school ground or a hotel garden, because whole leaves fill a bag in minutes while shredded leaves pack down.

The mulching ratio is 8 to 1, which means eight bags of loose leaves come out as one bag of mulch. That is seven fewer walks to the heap, and the mulch that comes out is useful: it goes straight onto beds or into a compost pit and breaks down far faster than whole leaves do. The engine is a 30cc two stroke built for endurance, running from 7 300 to 8 500 revolutions a minute, moving 10 cubic metres a minute at 60 metres a second. Fuel is mixed at 50 to 1, unleaded petrol with two stroke lubricant. The twin tube design changes from blower to vacuum without tools, the speed is variable so you can drop it for light debris on a flower bed, and a shoulder harness carries the weight of the 7.3kg machine on your body rather than your arm.
