Overview
Two kilograms of 3mm line on a spool. Three millimetre is heavy clearing line, and the spool is how contractors buy it: drawn off, cut to length and loaded as heads empty, rather than opened loop by loop.
The people who use this are clearing rather than tidying. Road reserves, institutional grounds, fallow plots, drainage lines and boundaries that have not been touched since the last rains. Heavy line is what gets through that kind of growth, and heavy line against stones and posts is also what disappears fastest, so a bulk spool is not extravagance, it is arithmetic. It belongs on a brush cutter with the power to swing it. A machine built for a lighter gauge cannot feed 3mm at all, and forcing it wrecks the head.

Questions and answers
Is 3mm too heavy for my machine?
Unless the handbook lists 3mm, yes. It is brush cutter line and will not feed through a head built for a lighter gauge.
Why buy a spool rather than a donut?
Because clearing work goes through line quickly. A 2kg spool covers a season where donuts would mean repeated trips to town.
