Overview

A jointer for making flat, aligned joints in board and timber: carcass work, table tops, shelving, door frames. It cuts a curved slot in each piece, a compressed beech biscuit goes in with glue, the glue swells it, and the joint pulls itself into line.

The depth setting runs from 0 to 18mm so you can use #0, #10 and #20 biscuits from the same machine and match the biscuit to the thickness of the board. The fence tilts anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees in 1 degree steps, which is what you need for mitred edges on a plinth or a box. A dust bag catches most of the sawdust, so the line you are cutting to stays visible. The cutting head runs at 11 000min-1, which keeps the slot clean in chipboard and MDF instead of tearing it.
