Fabric Dust Bag, Spare for SV-12 Wet & Dry Vacuum

A dust bag inside a wet and dry vacuum does two jobs. It holds the dry dirt so the tank is emptied by lifting a bag out rather than tipping a drum, and it takes the first load off the filter behind it, which is what keeps the suction up through a long job.

This is the fabric bag for the SV-12, the 12 litre machine in the same range. Fabric is the reusable option. Unlike a paper bag, which is thrown away full, a cloth bag is emptied, shaken out and put back, which suits a workshop that fills a bag every few days and does not want to be caught without a spare. It handles fine dust from sanding, cutting and sweeping. Bags do not last forever: the seams go, the collar that seals onto the inlet stretches, and the cloth itself blinds with fine dust that will not shake out, at which point the vacuum loses suction no matter how clean the filter is. Keeping a spare bag on the shelf is the cheap way to avoid running the machine bare and loading the filter instead.
