Overview
Eight kilowatts is a commercial or large household inverter. It is the size you fit when there are motors in the picture: a borehole pump, a workshop compressor, a welder, a cold room, or a building with several tenants drawing at the same time. Motors take a heavy surge when they start, and an undersized inverter trips on that surge long before the running load is a problem.
Like the smaller units in the range it is a hybrid, so it works with the panels, the battery bank and the grid together and moves between them on its own. During the day the panels can carry the load and put the surplus into the battery. At night the battery takes over, or the grid does if you have set it that way. When the mains fails the changeover happens inside the inverter, so a cold room or a server does not go down with it. Sizing the battery bank to match is the part that decides whether the installation actually performs.

Questions and answers
Can it run a borehole pump?
It is an 8000W unit, which gives headroom for motor starting surges. Send us the pump rating and we will confirm before you order.
Is a battery included?
No. The inverter is sold on its own. A battery bank sized to your loads and run time is needed for backup.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
Not sure if this is the right one?
Call or email us and tell us what you keep and how many. We will say whether this one fits your farm or point you to a better size. You are also welcome to come and see it in our Nairobi CBD shop.
