1.6mm x 100m Trimming Line, Donut Roll

A hundred metres of 1.6mm line, wound as a donut. This is what you buy when trimming has stopped being an occasional job: a school compound, a church ground, a guest house, a caretaker looking after several plots, or a household where the grass is cut every week through the rains.

The gauge is the same standard 1.6mm that most domestic electric trimmers take. What changes is the format. Instead of opening a new sealed loop each time the spool empties, you pull off the length the head needs, cut it and wind it on, which means the line costs less per metre and there is always more on the roll. A donut also lets you cut the exact length your spool holds rather than fighting a loop that is slightly too long. Keep it hanging in a cool store and take it out when the head runs dry.
