Square 2.0mm x 8m Trimming Line, 5 Pack

The square profile 2.0mm line in a five pack, eight metres to a loop. Anyone buying this size in quantity has usually already tried it, found it cuts better in rough growth than round line, and decided to stop buying it two loops at a time.

The shape is the whole point. Four corners spinning at trimmer speed behave like edges, so thick stemmed weeds are sliced instead of beaten, and the line pulls through dense material with less wrapping around the head. On a plot that gets overgrown between cuts, that is the difference between one pass and three. The honest trade is wear rate. Corners round off, and against block walls, kerbs and gravel they round off quickly, so square line does not last as long as round line in edging work. Buying five loops at once is the practical answer for someone who is clearing rather than tidying.
