Overview

A small electric mower for a compound lawn, a front garden or the grass around a house. It plugs into a socket, starts on a switch and makes far less noise than a petrol machine, which matters when you are cutting early in the morning in a residential area with neighbours close by.

The 1300 Watt motor drives the blade at 3 450rpm through a 320mm cutting path. That width suits a small to medium lawn: wide enough to finish in a reasonable time, narrow enough to turn easily between flowerbeds and around a washing line post. Three cutting heights at 20, 40 and 60mm let you take the grass down low or leave it longer through a dry spell. The 30 litre catcher holds the clippings so you are not raking afterwards, and the machine has wheels and handles for pushing and for putting away. A safety switch stops it starting by accident, and a cable guide keeps the lead clear of the blade.

How big a lawn will it handle?
It suits a small to medium compound lawn. The 320mm cut and 30 litre box mean a lot of emptying on anything larger.
Does it need an extension lead?
Yes. It runs from a mains socket, so you need an outdoor rated extension lead long enough to reach the far end of the lawn.
