Overview
A combination table and mitre saw is bought for one reason: floor space. A small joinery shop, a site cabin or a workshop in a compound rarely has room for a mitre saw on a stand and a table saw as separate machines, and moving between two machines costs time as well as space. One frame that does both jobs solves it.
The mitre side cuts timber to length and cuts angles, which is the work of framing, roofing, door linings, skirting and architrave. The table side rips board and sheet to width against a fence, which is the work of cabinets, shelving and panels. The motor is rated 1 800 Watts, which is the size of machine meant to run through construction timber and board all day rather than a few cuts at a weekend. Bought on that basis, it replaces two machines for a small business that is buying its first proper saw.
