Overview
A 115mm grinder with no cable, for work where there is no socket or where a lead is a nuisance: cutting mesh and bar out in a compound, trimming a gate already hung, cleaning welds up a ladder.
The brushless motor is the reason a cordless grinder is worth having. With no brushes to rub, more of the battery goes into the disc and less into heat, so run time is longer and the motor lasts. Speed is adjustable from 3 000 to 8 500min-1, which lets you drop the speed for a wire wheel or a flap disc and take it back up for cutting. The spindle is M14, the standard fitting, so ordinary 115mm discs go straight on.

How long does a battery last on it?
It depends on the pack and the work. A grinder draws heavily, so a 3 000mAh battery gives a working session rather than a full day. Keep a second pack charged.
Do ordinary discs fit?
Yes. It takes standard 115mm discs on an M14 spindle.
