Overview
A cordless trimmer supplied as a complete kit, with the battery and the charger in the box. That is the difference between this and most 18V tools, and it matters if you are not already in the range: there is nothing else to buy before you can cut grass.
It is a light machine, 1.7kg, with a 240mm cutting path and a head turning at 10000 revolutions a minute. The aluminium shaft is telescopic, so it adjusts to the height of whoever is using it, and the head pivots through seven positions for banks, hedges and awkward corners. The head also rotates through 180 degrees, which turns the trimmer into an edger for running along a sidewalk or a driveway. Without a cord you can walk to the far corner of the compound and cut, then move to the next patch without thinking about a socket or a lead.

Does the kit include everything I need?
Yes. The XB-2000 battery and the XPP-2700 charger are in the box, so nothing else is needed before you start trimming.
Can I use my existing 18V batteries?
Yes, an XB-1500 or above will run it. A second pack is useful, since one battery only covers so much ground.
