2.4mm x 5m Trimming Line, Twin Pack

Heavy line, in short loops. Two lengths of five metres at 2.4mm, which is the gauge petrol trimmers and brush cutters are built around. The loops are shorter than the thinner lines in this range for a simple reason: thick line takes up far more room on a spool, so five metres fills a head that eight metres of fine line would overfill.

This is the line for work that is closer to clearing than trimming. Standing grass that has gone to seed, weeds along a fence line, the strip of bush at the edge of a plot, the ground around a store where nothing has been cut for a season. At 2.4mm the line holds its shape through material that folds a domestic gauge flat, and it takes a great deal more punishment from stones, posts and wire before it wears back into the head. It needs a machine with the power to swing it, which in practice means a petrol trimmer or a brush cutter.
