Overview
The heavy breaker. Seventy five joules a blow is the class of tool used to take up a concrete floor, break a foundation, cut through a reinforced slab and demolish structural masonry. Below this size a machine chips at heavy concrete. At this size it removes it.
The important thing about this hammer is that it works off a normal 230V, 50Hz supply and needs no compressor. A pneumatic breaker of the same capacity brings a compressor, hoses, fuel and a second person to mind it, and none of that fits down the side of a house or up onto a first floor slab. This one takes a cable. The blow rate is 1 600 a minute, which is the low, heavy rhythm that a big hammer uses. Chisels change without tools on the SDS-Hex shank. It weighs 25.6kg, so it works vertically downwards under its own weight, and it comes in a carry case.

Questions and answers
Does it need a compressor?
No. It runs on a 230V, 50Hz supply, which is the point of it. A pneumatic breaker of this capacity would need a compressor, hoses and fuel on site.
What chisels fit it?
SDS-Hex chisels only. They are a different shank from SDS-Max and SDS-Plus. The supplier does not state which chisels come in the case, so ask us to confirm.
