Overview
The largest cordless saw in this range: 36 volts and a 350mm bar. It sits between the 18V cordless saws, which are pruning and light firewood machines, and a petrol saw. The point of the higher voltage is that it can turn a longer bar at a useful speed without the battery collapsing under the load.
At 350mm the bar takes the same size of timber as a small mains chainsaw, so this is a saw for cutting firewood, clearing fallen branches and sizing poles on a plot with no supply nearby. Chain speed is 8.5 metres a second. There is no fuel to mix, nothing to prime and no cable to keep out of the cut, which for most people on a shamba is worth more than the last bit of outright power. It starts on the trigger even after sitting in the store for a month, which a petrol engine often does not.

Does it come with a battery and charger?
The supplier does not state it for this model. Ask us to confirm what is in the box before you order, because a 36V battery is a large part of the cost.
Is it as strong as a petrol saw?
No. It has a 350mm bar and 8.5 m/s chain speed, which suits firewood and clearing. For felling or a full day of continuous cutting, a petrol saw is still the right machine.
