Overview

A small cordless saw you can work with one hand. The 100mm bar is made for pruning, cutting back overgrown shrubs, sizing small branches and trimming poles and offcuts. It is the tool you pick up for the jobs where a full chainsaw is more machine than the work needs.

At 1.35kg without a battery it is light enough to hold up at arm's length and to use from a ladder or while holding a branch with the other hand. The switch is dual action, so it takes two deliberate movements to start the chain rather than one squeeze, and a protection baffle sits between the chain and your hand. The chain runs at 4 metres a second, which is right for the branch sizes this bar can take. It is compact and balanced rather than powerful, and it is not meant to fell anything.

Questions and answers

What size branches will it cut?
Branches within the 100mm bar length. It is a pruning and trimming saw. Anything thicker than the bar should be cut with a full size chainsaw.
Is a battery included?
No. The battery and charger are excluded. It works with the XB-1500 and larger batteries in the Ryobi 18V range.
How do I order and receive it?
