Overview

A light mains trimmer with a shaft that adjusts to the person using it. The telescopic aluminium tube slides to your height, which sounds like a small feature until you have spent an hour stooped over a machine that was set for somebody else.

The head pivots through eleven positions, so it goes flat under a hedge, tips for a bank, and turns up on edge to run along a path or a driveway. At 380 watts with a 250mm path it is a light duty machine for a yard, a small lawn and the edges around a compound, working on 1.4mm line at 12000 revolutions a minute. The auxiliary handle adjusts for angle to keep both hands comfortable, and the bump feed puts out more line with a tap. At 1.5kg it stays manageable at arm's length, which is what makes it suitable for someone who does not want to carry a heavy trimmer.

What is the pivoting head for?
It sets the cutting angle through eleven positions, so you can trim under a hedge, work a sloping bank or turn the head for edging.
Can I fit thicker line?
No. It is built for 1.4mm line. Heavier line will not feed through the head and puts unnecessary load on the motor.
