Overview

The largest electric trimmer in this range. A thousand watts and a 350mm cutting path put it close to petrol territory for anyone with mains power on the plot, and it cuts the thick grass and weeds that stall a small domestic machine.

The motor sits at the back of the shaft rather than at the head. That balances the machine in your hands so the weight is not hanging out in front of you all morning, and it keeps the motor up out of the wet grass. The shaft splits in the middle with a click link, so the trimmer comes apart for storage behind a door or in the back of a car instead of needing a two metre space in the store. The twin line bump feed head is pre loaded with 3 metres of 2mm line, and the angled drive shaft gets the head under hedges and along walls. A shoulder harness and an adjustable auxiliary handle carry the 3.9kg.

What does the split shaft do?
It separates at a click link in the middle, so the trimmer packs down for storage and fits in a car boot.
What line does it use?
Twin line of 2mm, supplied pre loaded with 3 metres. Tap the head on the ground to feed out more as it wears.
