Overview
The larger of the two petrol brush cutters in this range. At 52cc it is built for people who clear as a job rather than as a chore: contractors, county crews, institutions, large plots and the kind of overgrown ground where a smaller machine spends its day labouring.
The extra displacement shows when the cutter meets thick material. Where a smaller engine slows and has to be eased through a clump, this one holds its speed, and holding speed is what keeps the blade cutting instead of bogging. The 3 tooth steel blade takes a 255mm path through woody stems and scrub. Fit the trimming head instead and it cuts a 440mm path with 2.4mm line, pre loaded with 3 metres and released by tapping the head. Electronic ignition makes starting straightforward, and the double harness with adjustable bull horn handles puts the 7.1kg across your shoulders so you can work a full morning.

If you clear thick growth regularly, yes. The larger engine holds its speed in heavy material. It also uses more fuel for the same work.
