Overview
A petrol brush cutter for ground that a line trimmer cannot handle. Standing grass gone to seed, thick stemmed weeds, scrub along a boundary, the bush that comes back on a fallow plot after the rains. It runs without a cord, so the far corner of a shamba is no different from the ground outside the door.
It works two ways. With the 3 tooth steel blade fitted it cuts a 255mm path and goes through woody stems that would simply wrap a nylon line. Swap to the supplied trimming head and it cuts a 440mm path with 2.4mm line, pre loaded with 3 metres and fed out by tapping the head on the ground. That is the reason people buy a brush cutter rather than a trimmer: one machine clears the rough and then tidies the edges. The straight steel shaft keeps the head well ahead of your feet, the bull horn handles adjust to the operator, and the double harness carries the 7.1kg on your shoulders rather than your arms.

Can it be used as a line trimmer?
Yes. It comes with a trimming head pre loaded with 3 metres of 2.4mm line, cutting a 440mm path, as well as the 255mm steel blade.
What fuel does it take?
Petrol mixed with two stroke oil at the ratio given in the handbook. Never run it on straight petrol.
