Twisted 1.6mm x 100m Trimming Line, Donut Roll

A hundred metres of twisted 1.6mm line on a donut roll. It is the bulk format of the quieter profile in the standard domestic gauge, for a caretaker, a school, a guest house or anyone else whose trimmer is out of the store most weekends.

Working from a donut is simply cheaper and more convenient than opening sealed loops. You pull off the length your spool takes, cut it and wind it on, so nothing is wasted on loops that are slightly too long or too short for the head. The twisted profile takes the whistle out of the machine, which matters when the trimming is done early in the morning in a compound where people are still asleep, and the spiral edges cut coarse grass more cleanly than a plain round strand. Hang the roll in a cool store so it does not tangle or bake.
