Twisted 1.6mm x 8m Trimming Line, 5 Pack

Five loops of twisted 1.6mm line, eight metres each. This is the pack for someone who has already decided that twisted line suits their ground and their ears, and who trims often enough that buying two loops at a time means constant trips to town.

The 1.6mm size is what most domestic electric trimmers take. The twisted profile makes the machine noticeably less shrill at full speed, which matters in a compound where people live close together and where trimming often happens early in the morning. The spiral edges also help in coarse grass, and the shape reduces the tendency of line to fuse to itself on a hot spool. Forty metres in one pack covers a long stretch of weekly cutting, and each loop stays sealed until it is needed, which keeps the nylon in better condition than a part used donut left on a shelf.
