Overview
Twisted line in the standard 1.6mm domestic size, two loops of eight metres. It fits the same heads as plain round line of the same diameter, and the difference is in the profile.
A twisted line has a spiral form along its length. That shape cuts down the whistle a plain round line makes at full speed, which is worth something when you are trimming close to a house early in the morning or working for hours behind the machine. The spiral also gives the strand edges to work with, so it bites into coarse grass rather than just beating it, and the twisted section is less inclined to weld itself into a solid block on the spool when the head gets hot, which is a common complaint with plain line. Two loops in the pack means one to load and one in the store.

Questions and answers
What does twisting the line do?
It cuts the whistling noise a round line makes at speed and gives the strand edges, so it bites into coarse grass rather than beating it.
Does it fit the same heads as round line?
Yes, any head rated for 1.6mm line. It loads onto the spool in exactly the same way.
