Overview

A charger for the car, the bike and the batteries that sit in a store until they are needed. It handles both 12V and 6V, so the small battery on an old machine is covered as well as a modern car.

The electronic protection is the part worth paying for. It guards against reversed polarity, over charging and short circuits, which are the three ways a cheap charger ruins a battery or itself. The sheet metal housing protects the electronics and carries the heat away while it charges. Leads are long enough to be useful: a 1 metre charging lead and a 2 metre power cord, so the battery can stay where it is instead of coming out of the vehicle.

Yes. It has two charging voltages, 12V and 6V, plus separate car and motorcycle modes.
How long does a car battery take?
Car mode charges at 6.5A, so a large flat battery is a job of several hours, not minutes.
