Overview
This is the tool that replaces a tape measure and a second person. Point it at the far wall, press the button, and the distance appears on the screen. For measuring up a room, quoting a tiling or painting job, checking a ceiling height, or working out how much cable or skirting a job needs, it does in a second what a tape does in a minute and an argument.
Twenty metres covers the interior work most people need: a room, a corridor, a shop floor, a store. The operation is a single button, which matters because the tools that sit unused in a drawer are the ones with a menu. It reads in metres, feet and inches, so you can work in whatever unit the drawing or the supplier uses without converting on paper. It fits in a shirt pocket and weighs 0.11kg, so it goes to a site visit without a bag. Two AAA batteries are included, so it works the day you buy it.
