Overview

An 18V cordless drill for general work: assembly, fitting out, drilling and driving in timber and board. The step up from 12 volts shows in torque, 20Nm against 12Nm, which is what you notice when a long screw is halfway into hardwood and the drill has to keep pulling.

Twenty one torque settings plus a drill position let you match the clutch to the screw and the material, so the driver slips before the screw head strips or the screw pulls straight through board. Speed is variable on the trigger up to 550 min-1, which is geared for driving and for boring in timber rather than for high speed drilling. It takes bits up to 10mm in the chuck and drills 22mm in wood. An LED lights the work and a belt hook keeps the drill with you on a ladder. The shell has a soft grip and the whole tool is 1.2kg. Battery and charger are included.

Questions and answers

How is it different from the 12V drill?
More torque, 20Nm against 12Nm, and a 22mm wood drilling capacity. The 12V runs at a higher 700 min-1 and is lighter at 1.0kg.
Can it drill into concrete?
No. There is no hammer action. Use an impact drill or an SDS-plus rotary hammer for block and concrete, and keep this one for timber, board and assembly.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
