Overview

The middle impact drill of the three, and the one most people end up with. At 710W it has the reserve for a day of drilling block and timber without labouring, and at 2.0kg it is the lightest of the three, which is not what you would expect and is worth knowing if you work overhead.

Impact mode hammers as it turns, which is what carries a masonry bit through a block wall. Variable speed on the trigger lets you start a hole gently so the bit does not wander off the mark, and the lock-on button holds the trigger down for mixing tile adhesive or paint and for long runs of holes. Reverse frees a bit that has jammed, which happens in reinforced block more often than anyone admits. A depth gauge sets a repeatable stop for blind holes. The chuck is 13mm heavy duty, wood capacity is 30mm and steel capacity is 13mm.

Questions and answers

Is it better than the 650W model?
It has more power and drills 30mm in wood against 25mm, and it is slightly lighter at 2.0kg. Chuck size, speed and impact rate are the same.
Will it drill concrete?
In impact mode with a masonry bit, yes, but slowly in structural concrete. For that work an SDS-plus rotary hammer is faster and much easier on bits.
How do I order and receive it?
Place your order online and we will call you to confirm the item, the price and the delivery. You can collect it from our shop on Moi Avenue in Nairobi CBD or we can send it by courier.
